Handmade worlds for little readers.

I’m Camila Maria, a Brazilian children’s book illustrator.

I create tactile images with handmade materials, photography and digital finishing, combining soft textures and delicate details for children’s books and visual stories.

Before illustration, I worked for eight years as a cake designer, shaping volumes, forms and delicate details. That experience still guides my work today, especially in my attention to softness, shape and the quiet charm of handmade work.

My illustrations explore animals, nature, childhood discoveries and sensitive moments. I’m especially interested in books for young children, where simple scenes, expressive characters and tactile details can create a sense of warmth, curiosity and wonder.

I’m currently open to collaborations with children’s publishers, as well as board book, picture book and early years illustration projects.
